Bill W.

I loved this
I actually purchased this video along with the poster and I am thrilled that I did.

Bill W. was a fascinating look at Bill W. - one that I have been craving for a long time. I am constantly amazed at how many books there are out there on Bill W. and yet, I found myself with so many questions. Granted, this dvd does not answer all of them, but what I loved best about this DVD is the fact that we get to see (and hear) Bill W. in candid moments that I, for one, have never heard or seen anywhere else before.

I loved the "talks" Bill W. gave and I loved the fact that the producers were willing to explore the more "secretive" parts of his life. Actually, one of the people speaking on the DVD said it best - (and I am paraphrasing here - something to the effect that Bill W. was just a man who did a great thing. He was human and a drunk and therefore was certainly not perfect, which is the perfect definition of AA and shows exactly what AA is about).

I...

A Must See!
If you're a member of AA or any other 12 Step program that owes it's existence to AA,this is a Must See! I thought I knew a lot about this history of AA and Bill Wilson but this movie opened my eyes. I'm definitely buying my own copy.

Talk about one human being that changed the lives of many! I wonder if Bill W. has every been on the cover of Time Magazine?
This was never about the man himself...this was and still is about extreme spiritual experiences and emotional psychic changes. Once this man had his spiritual experience, then the man carried that message to others. The spiritual experience, carrying that message to others, and those others carrying the same message, and so on and so on continues to save the lives of millions. His determination to no longer live the painful life of a drunk was the beginning of a new life for those same drunks (& addicts) today.
