Received Bogus Screening Copy of DVD
I ordered a USED, LIKE NEW, DVD of The Christmas Orange on 1-30-11. When my order was shipped (free shipping), the DVD was suddenly not available. Amazon told me that it would ship the DVD as soon as it was available. I recently saw that the USED DVD was available, and Amazon agreed to ship it free. When I received the DVD on 7-7-11, the outer case looked just like the one advertised on Amazon; however, the DVD has a statement on it that reads: "SCREENING COPY. NOT FOR SALE OR RENTAL. THIS FEATURE LENGTH SCREENER IS FOR SALES AID USE ONLY AND ABSOLUTELY NOT FOR RENTAL, SALE, OR PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION." The DVD also has the number of 16322-SC. The words, "Screening Copy" appear on the screen a few times during the movie. Prior to this DVD, I have never seen a screening copy. Amazon must not check this stuff before sending it to customers. When a DVD is USED, Amazon can certainly check it since the case is not sealed. The movie is cute, so I gave it a rating of three stars...
Wonderful Christmas DVD
This is a great Christmas movie that I think every child and adult today will enjoy, especially in a time when so many people forget the real meaning of Christmas.
absolutely perfect and wonderful
I saw this movie with my adult daughter when she was a child yes its a cartoon and it doesn't have the glitz glamour or advertising holiday shows like rudolph or frosty have but it has somnething alil more special. It actually shows a child's questions being answered, abilities to reason even at a very young or old age and responsiblity. If a child is to take everyone from family, friends, other people in professions around him for granted even poor ole santa claus it shows what will happen not a lump of coal but a special lesson in life. I think if you believe in xmas/christmas or even giving to others this is the perfect movie for yourself and others 8 seconds old to 888 years old. It has cute characters, funny jokes, a few lessons to learn and best of all everyone will see someone in it that reminds them of someone in their own lives in this movie. anyone who I know has ever seen it loves it as much as the book it was named after. One of the best movies and books of all time I...
